Bug-Byte Software Ltd.

Founded in Liverpool in May 1980 by Tony Baden and Tony Milner, Bug-Byte Software Ltd. was an early British home-computer publisher active through the early-to-mid 1980s. The company released software across Sinclair and other 8-bit platforms and placed titles in the UK charts — Spectral Invaders reached number one on early Spectrum charts. Bug-Byte’s business collapsed in 1985; the name was later reused by other publishers. Notable releases during the original company’s run include Falcon Patrol, Falcon Patrol II and Aquarius among a larger slate of ZX Spectrum and contemporary 8‑bit titles. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, MSX, Arcade, PlayStation 4, BBC Micro, Nintendo Switch, NES, and Nintendo 3DS.
