Codemasters

Founded in Warwickshire in 1986 by brothers David and Richard Darling (with family involvement), Codemasters began as a UK developer–publisher producing low-priced 8‑bit titles and expansion into cartridge and console markets. Headquartered historically in the Banbury/Southam area of England, the company published and developed household-name franchises from Micro Machines and Dizzy era releases through later racing series such as TOCA and the official Formula 1 games. Key early activity included commissioning independent bedroom programmers and running a high‑volume budget catalogue in the late 1980s and 1990s. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Amiga, Atari ST, PlayStation, Windows, DOS, MSX, and Genesis.
