Philips Interactive Media, Inc.
Philips Interactive Media, Inc. was the United States publishing arm of Philips’ multimedia effort in the late 1980s and early 1990s, operating from Los Angeles as the company pushed the CD‑i format into homes. Formed from American Interactive Media (later named Philips Interactive Media of America), it produced and distributed CD‑i and early CD‑ROM titles, with a staff that included managers tasked with creative affairs and product development. Its output ranged from licensed CD‑i games such as Tetris to preschool and licensed children’s releases including Sesame Street‑branded discs and several Stickybear educational titles. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as CD-i, DOS, Windows, 3DO, Arcade, SEGA CD, PlayStation 3, Amiga, Genesis, and Jaguar.
