SEGA Enterprises Ltd. was the name Sega used from 1965 until its change to SEGA Corporation in 2000. The company grew from the coin-operated amusement business into arcade development and home consoles, building a catalog that included Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star and Virtua Fighter.
