The 3DO Company

Founded in 1991 by Trip Hawkins, The 3DO Company began as the creator and licensor of the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer hardware and launched that console in October 1993. It reorganized as a Delaware holding company in 1993, sold the next‑generation M2 design to Matsushita in 1995 and shifted into third‑party game development and publishing thereafter. The company acquired studios including New World Computing in July 1996 and published PC and console series such as High Heat Baseball, Army Men and Might and Magic entries before filing for Chapter 11 on May 28, 2003. Regional branches such as 3DO Europe operated separately. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as Windows, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, 3DO, DOS, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Color, GameCube, and Dreamcast.
