Alien vs. Predator [arcade] Review and Longplay [1994]
Alien vs. Predator Arcade Review – A Netplay Cooperative Triumph Capcom's "Alien vs. Predator" arcade game is one of those rare gems in the arcade world that managed to capture the essence of both franchises beautifully. Playing through the game via netplay with my Australian Discord friend, Hyrule13, was an exhilarating experience that showcased how well classic arcade action translates into the world of online multiplayer. Engrossing Storyline Set in the chaotic… Read more
Battle Circuit [Arcade] Longplay (1997)
What a fun game that I just can't seem remember. it was late in Capcom's beat em up run. A four-player simultaneous side-scrolling fighter. Collect coins in each level to purchase new moves. Battle Circuit is the last of the Capcom 2-D "beat-em-up" side-scroller games. This game is unique in that characters could collect coins and buy upgrades for existing moves after each level. The campy presentation and wacky character designs appear… Read more
Crime Fighters 2 / Vendetta [Arcade] Longplay (1991) #guide #walkthrough #tutorial
This game was a lot of fun until I was literally humped by some flamboyant thug. Wtf was that? I'll time stamp it later. The Dead End gang, who dominate Dead End city, are looking to expand their territory. Only their rival gang, The Cobras, stand in their way. The Dead End gang kidnaps Kate, a protegee of Hawk to trap the others into trying to rescue her. Are you man enough… Read more
Oriental legend [arcade] 1997 (Long play) #guide #walkthrough #tutorial
So this is by far the worst game I've ever played in my life. Don't even watch this, just go watch something else. The game, developed by IGS, was incredibly long and glitchy. the characters appeared well thought out, outside of them I can't say anything positive about the game. I am however hopeful for its sequel, released 10 years later, which I will be playing in its entirety sometime this week.… Read more
Gamers don’t want short and easy games?
I'm not too sure if I agree with the following abstract, this doesn't really explain the success of Bejeweled and other popular short term games. Arcade games have been around for quite a while, and those can be very short term. Any thoughts? Let's have a conversation :) "Good computer and video games like System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Pikmin, Rise of Nations, Neverwinter Nights, and Xenosaga: Episode 1 are learning machines.… Read more
