Most gamers have pulled an all-nighter to finish a campaign or grind out a boss, but one player took it to an entirely new level. In July 2015, Carrie Swidecki from Bakersfield, California set the official Guinness World Record for the longest video game marathon by playing Just Dance 2015 for a staggering 138 hours and 34 seconds straight.
That is almost six full days of nonstop gaming. Swidecki was not just chasing bragging rights ā she was raising money for charity while attempting to break her own previous records. By the end of the marathon, she had danced through hundreds of songs, proving incredible stamina, determination, and a whole lot of love for Ubisoftās hit rhythm game.
This feat not only landed her in the record books, it showed the world how gaming can inspire endurance, dedication, and even positive causes.
So next time you think your weekend binge of a new release is impressive, remember that someone once danced their way into history for nearly a week straight.
