Gameplay
The Limited Edition’s strongest move is that its add-ons are not all chasing the same kind of match. Dogfight immediately stands out because it shifts the fight into the sky, with combat taking place while hanging from helicopters. That is a far more distinctive hook than a simple bonus character, and it gives you a good reason to sample this edition’s extras early.
Mad Survival is the more straightforward crowd-pleaser. Three players face waves of enemies, in a setup similar to Survival mode, so the tension comes from enduring escalating pressure alongside a small team. If you enjoy repeating a challenge to see how long your group can hold together, this is likely the addition that keeps pulling you back after the novelty of Dogfight has worn off.
Bayonetta rounds out the package as a playable character rather than mere crossover window dressing. A new roster choice is valuable because it gives returning players a concrete excuse to experiment again, even if the two new modes are what really define the Limited Edition. This is a focused bundle: one character addition, one unusual aerial mode, and one co-op endurance mode.
Graphics
The clearest new imagery comes from Dogfight’s airborne battles around helicopters, which give these encounters a noticeably different backdrop from the ground-based action implied by the rest of the package. Bayonetta’s inclusion also adds a recognizable character to the playable lineup.
Story
This edition puts its emphasis squarely on action rather than a new narrative hook. Its pitch is built around playable content: a character, an aerial combat mode, and a three-player survival challenge.
Bayonetta brings crossover flavor, but the important promise is practical: you can take control of her. The character is an incentive to revisit the game’s action, not the basis for a separate tale in this edition.
That makes the buying decision refreshingly simple. Come for the chance to play more of Anarchy Reigns in a few different formats, not for a story-led expansion.
Overall Experience
Anarchy Reigns (Limited Edition) feels like a sensible version for anyone who wants the broadest action package from the start. Dogfight supplies the oddball attraction, Mad Survival supplies the group-friendly staying power, and Bayonetta supplies the recognizable bonus.
The limitation is also clear: your enjoyment rests on whether those three additions sound useful to you. Solo players may be drawn first to Bayonetta and the aerial chaos of Dogfight, while a regular trio has the clearest reason to value Mad Survival.
At its best, this is an edition with purpose rather than a pile of minor trinkets. The content has enough variety to justify the label, and Mad Survival in particular sounds like the piece most likely to turn a quick session into one more attempt.
