The first thing you feel with Gears of War: Triple Pack is convenience. Rather than picking one entry and wondering whether it is the right place to begin, you can start with the original Gears of War and continue directly into Gears of War 2. For someone who has missed these Xbox 360 releases, that simple sequence is the bundle’s strongest argument.

It is important to buy this as a collection, not as a separate game built around new material. The package combines the Platinum Hits release of Gears of War with the regular release of Gears of War 2, then adds Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection as a download code printed on an included card. The rhythm is therefore defined by moving through the included releases rather than discovering a new compilation-specific mode or structure.

That also means the best reason to choose it is breadth. You get a starting point, a follow-up, and an additional Gears of War 2 collection in one Xbox 360 case. If you already own the first two releases and do not need the All Fronts Collection, the package has far less pull; if you own none of them, it is an efficient way to commit to the series’ early Xbox 360 run.

Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection is attached to that second step rather than presented as a third numbered chapter. Treat it as added Gears of War 2 material in the overall package, not evidence that the box contains three separate mainline installments.

For a newcomer, the payoff is a neat, contained run through the first two Gears of War releases represented here. For an established fan, the narrative draw depends entirely on whether the All Fronts Collection is the piece still absent from your library.

Overall Experience

Gears of War: Triple Pack earns its place through straightforward value. It does not need a fancy wrapper: the original game, its sequel, and the included All Fronts Collection make a coherent Xbox 360 bundle for somebody entering this stretch of the series late.

The download-code format is the one practical point to consider before buying. A disc-heavy collection feels immediately complete when you open the case; here, part of the set lives on the printed card. That does not ruin the package, but it makes the physical edition feel slightly less tidy than its three-part title suggests.

As a purchase, this is easy to recommend to a Gears newcomer with an Xbox 360 and no overlap in their collection. It is less essential for anyone who already has Gears of War and Gears of War 2, but the All Fronts Collection can still tip the balance. The bundle is plain, focused, and honest about what it offers: a solid route into two key releases plus extra Gears of War 2 content.
