DOSBox simulates an Intel x86 PC, equipped with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., which are essential for running numerous classic MS-DOS games that cannot be executed on contemporary PCs and operating systems, including Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, and FreeBSD.
