Key2Joy v0.8.0-alpha.d6c5fe92b7 has been released, enabling users to simulate a joystick, controller, or gamepad using a keyboard, mouse, or other triggers. Beyond simple button presses, it allows for writing Javascript and Lua scripts to execute complex actions. However, the latest update removes Javascript support, as noted in the changelog by @luttje.
