Konami Co., Ltd. traces its origins to a jukebox rental and repair business founded in Osaka on March 21, 1969 by Kagemasa Kozuki. During the 1970s and 1980s the company moved into arcade and home-console games, later reorganizing its video-game operations into Konami Digital Entertainment in the 2000s while Konami Co., Ltd. remained the corporate name in official filings.
