Rising Star Games Ltd.
Founded in October 2004 and based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, Rising Star Games Ltd. was a UK publisher created as a European joint venture between Japanese partner Marvelous (initially Marvelous Interactive) and Scandinavian Nintendo distributor Bergsala. Martin Defries served as one of its public leaders. The company handled European publishing for numerous Japanese-origin titles during the 2000s and 2010s, including Muramasa: The Demon Blade, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Little King's Story and Half-Minute Hero. Ownership and corporate structure changed over time: Marvelous’s stake was replaced by Intergrow in 2010, and the business later became part of the Thunderful group with a UK name change recorded in September 2023. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, cover Nintendo DS, Wii, PSP, Windows, PlayStation 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, GameCube, PS Vita, and Wii U.
