Ymir Git (2026/05/13) is a new Sega Saturn emulator that supports game loading from various file formats like BIN+CUE and ISO. It features automatic BIOS detection, region switching, and supports two players with customizable keybindings. Users can manage backup RAM, utilize save states, rewind gameplay (up to one minute), and adjust speed settings. The release includes a debugger and bug fixes addressing illegal access combinations and crash issues. Additional features are planned, including more support for RAM cartridges. Download is available for Ymir Git (2026/05/13).

Load games from BIN+CUE, IMG+CCD, MDF+MDS, or ISO files
Automatic IPL (BIOS) ROM detection
Automatic region switching
Supports up to two players using standard Control Pads on both ports (more features coming soon)
Fully customizable keybindings
Backup for RAM and DRAM cartridges (additional features coming soon)
Integrated backup memory manager for saving, exporting, and transferring between internal and cartridge RAM
Save states
Rewinding (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed, and frame stepping (forwards and backwards)
A feature-rich debugger in development

Ymir Changelog:
* fix(VDP2): Address another case of illegal CP/PN access combinations involving multiple PN accesses across different banks
* fix(rewind): Resolve occasional crashes when trying to rewind with CD Block LLE enabled
* fix(VDP1): Incorporate a one-pixel offset for the vertical coordinates of clipping coordinates
