Ymir Git (2026/05/19) is a developing Sega Saturn emulator that supports game loading from various file formats like BIN+CUE and ISO. It features automatic IPL ROM detection, region switching, and multiplayer support for two players with customizable keybindings. The emulator includes backup RAM support, an integrated memory manager for save transfers, save states, rewinding (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed, and frame stepping. A feature-rich debugger is also in progress. Recent changes address bugs related to command responses and session info handling. Download the emulator for further testing and contribution.

Ymir Git (2026/05/19) has been released. It is an ongoing project of a Sega Saturn emulator.

Load games from BIN+CUE, IMG+CCD, MDF+MDS, or ISO files
Automatic detection of IPL (BIOS) ROM
Automatic region switching
Supports up to two players with standard control pads on both ports (more features coming soon)
Fully customizable key mappings
Backup for RAM and DRAM cartridges (more features coming soon)
Integrated memory manager for importing and exporting saves, as well as transferring between internal and cartridge RAM
Save states support
Rewinding (up to one minute at 60 fps), turbo speed features, and frame stepping (both forwards and backwards)
An advanced, work-in-progress debugger
