Ares Git (2026/03/18) is a multi-system emulator that has been in development since October 14, 2004. A descendant of higan and bsnes, it prioritizes accuracy and preservation. Currently, it emulates 27 hardware devices, including Famicom, Super Famicom, Nintendo 64 (in development), Game Boy, and more. Recent updates include fixes for XAudio2 detection logic, debug symbol detection on MinGW, and addressing a glitch in the City Hunter ROM. The emulator aims to enhance user experience while maintaining high fidelity to the original hardware performance. Download is available for the x64 version.
