Coffee GB v2.0.3 has been launched. Coffee GB is a Gameboy Color emulator crafted using Java 16 (core) and Kotlin (UI) as part of a development project.

Platform limitations
On macOS, game controllers need a compatible SDL2 installation; keyboard input and emulation continue to work without it.
Highlights
Coffee GB 2.0.3 brings a shared, controller-friendly on-screen menu system for Android and a desktop overlay option (-Dcoffee-gb.desktop.proposal3-menu=true). It includes the approved artwork, renders functional text dynamically, and sets up menu routes for save states, settings, controller mapping, optional devices, printer output, data and media, system information, and more. The established native desktop interface remains the default.
Pause and save-state screens now display current-session captures and saved thumbnails, utilize direct and consistent controller actions, and safeguard asynchronous previews and saves from stale-session updates. Android also maintains the source skin proportions, eliminates the baked-in LED, aligns display and touch geometry, and enhances emulator and native-picker lifecycle handling.
The update also incorporates HiTek and Gowin protection mappers, enabling two previously restricted unlicensed Game Boy Color titles to boot and reach gameplay.
