Gameplay
The immediate pleasure of Fun Radio La Compil Micro 2 is choice. You are not locked into one sport or one tempo: Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf, Grand Prix 500 II, Great Courts 2, Kick Off 2, and Speedball 2 give you five distinct places to start. That makes the collection easy to dip into, especially when you do not yet know what kind of competitive game you feel like playing.
The first hour is best spent sampling rather than committing. Try each game long enough to feel its pace, then follow the one that gives you the strongest urge for another attempt. A golf game, a racing game, court sport, football, and Speedball 2 are a broad enough spread that a favorite should emerge quickly.
Its weakness is also built into the format: five separate games cannot build the focused momentum of one carefully sustained campaign. Switching around is fun at first, but you may eventually wish the collection had a clearer reason to keep you moving from one title to the next. Treat it as a sports shelf in miniature, not a single all-consuming game, and it works far better.
Graphics
You are looking at five separate sports games rather than one shared set of characters or locations, so the images change with the title you choose. That variety is more useful than a unified look would have been: moving from the golf course to the track, court, pitch, or Speedball 2 keeps the package from feeling visually stuck in one lane.
Story
Story is not the reason this compilation exists. Its hook is the chance to move among five sports games, each with its own competition and immediate objective, rather than follow one central narrative.
That is not a flaw if you want clean, self-contained sessions. You can pick a game, play for the contest in front of you, and leave without needing to remember a plot thread or prepare for a later chapter.
The trade-off is that the package has little narrative glue of its own. Nothing in the premise suggests a journey connecting Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf to Kick Off 2 or Speedball 2; the link is simply the shared sports theme. For this kind of collection, that is enough, but it will not provide the sense of progression that a story-led game can.
Overall Experience
Fun Radio La Compil Micro 2 is a straightforward, sensible compilation whose value rises with your appetite for variety. Five established sports games is a stronger proposition than five near-identical takes on the same event, and the lineup covers enough ground that it invites experimentation.
There is a pleasantly low-pressure rhythm to it. You can give one game a brief session, bounce to another when the mood changes, and let your own preferences decide which title becomes the regular. The collection does not need every game to land equally well for you; it only needs two or three to become repeat visits.
Give it a chance if you enjoy switching genres within a sports-game mood and prefer a grab bag to a single fixed experience. Skip it only if you need one coherent game with a continuous hook. As a five-game bundle, it remains a worthwhile and varied snapshot of sports competition on DOS, Amiga, and Atari ST.
