Retro Replay Review
Gameplay
Fox Hits CD N°3 begins with a simple proposition: it collects Prehistorik and Super Cauldron on DOS. That directness is refreshing in one sense, because you can judge the package immediately by its lineup rather than work through a pile of marginal extras.
The first hour will likely be about sampling both games and deciding which one earns more of your time. That is also the compilation’s main strength: two distinct titles give you a choice, even if the overall selection is small.
The limitation is equally clear. With only two games, there is little room for a pleasant surprise if neither title clicks. Buy it because you actively want this pair, not because you are hunting for a broad survey of DOS gaming.

Graphics
The compilation brings together two separately titled games, Prehistorik and Super Cauldron. The package itself does not turn them into one shared visual experience; each game stands on its own.

Story
This is a compilation, not a unified adventure with a shared plot. Moving from Prehistorik to Super Cauldron means moving between two separate games rather than following one continuous narrative.
That can be a virtue if you prefer variety over commitment. You are free to treat either game as the main attraction and the other as a second reason to revisit the disc.
It also means the collection has no larger arc of its own to carry you through a weak patch. Your investment rests on the individual games and how much you enjoy returning to them.
Overall Experience
Fox Hits CD N°3 is a modest, sharply defined retro package. It does not need a grander pitch than two games on one DOS release, and its lack of sprawl can be a benefit when you know exactly what you want.
For someone already interested in both Prehistorik and Super Cauldron, bundling them together is the obvious draw. You get two destinations rather than one, which gives the disc more staying power than a single-game release.
For everyone else, the decision is more cautious: this is too narrow to recommend on the strength of compilation status alone. Give it a chance if the two included games appeal to you; otherwise, its concise lineup leaves little reason to linger.
