Gameplay

The immediate strength of Uncharted: Dual Pack is that it does not make you choose between the first two included entries. You can start with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, then move directly into Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which gives the bundle a much better sense of value than a single-game release.

The Game of the Year Edition label matters here because the second game arrives with its DLC included through the Super Voucher. That makes this feel less like a bare two-disc compilation and more like a package assembled for someone who wants the fuller Among Thieves offering.

There is no complicated pitch to decipher: this is for you if you want the first two named Uncharted games together on PlayStation 3. The collection format is its own convenience, especially when you would rather spend your time moving from one game to the next than tracking down separate editions.

Graphics

The one specifically visual extra is the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception announcement dynamic theme included with the voucher. It is a nice bit of PS3 customization, while the Nathan Drake PSN avatar gives the bundle another small piece of series-themed flair.

Story

As a collection, the story draw is continuity. Drake’s Fortune comes first in the package, and Among Thieves follows, so you have an obvious route through the two included adventures rather than beginning with the later title alone.

Nathan Drake is represented directly in the included PSN avatar, reinforcing that this is a character-led series package rather than a random selection of unrelated games. The extras do not replace the games themselves, but they make the box feel tied to the broader Uncharted lineup.

The Uncharted 3 theme also gives the set a small forward-looking touch. It is not part of the two-game story run, but it neatly positions this bundle between the earlier entries and the next installment.

Overall Experience

This is an easy compilation to recommend when your goal is simple: get the first two included Uncharted games on PS3 in one purchase. The inclusion of Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition and its DLC gives the package more weight than a minimal rerelease.
