The first thing to know is that this is a narrow, purposeful piece of DLC. Puzzle Pack adds 20 single-player missions, so its value lives or dies on whether you enjoy taking Worms Reloaded away from its usual freewheeling multiplayer energy and sitting with a problem until you find the answer.

That focus can be refreshing if you already know the base game well. Instead of asking you to buy into a huge new mode or a sweeping overhaul, it gives you a compact batch of puzzle-themed challenges to chip away at alone. It is the sort of add-on that fits nicely between multiplayer sessions, especially when you want something more deliberate than another open-ended skirmish.

There is a limit to that appeal. Twenty missions is worthwhile for an enthusiast, but the pack does not sound like a reason to start with Worms Reloaded if you do not already own and enjoy it. The payoff is fresh material within a familiar game, not a radically different experience.

The cosmetic additions are small but tangible: three hats, three speech banks, three gravestones, and a new landscape type. They add a few more ways for your worms and matches to feel distinct without changing the familiar look of Worms Reloaded.

Story

Puzzle Pack is built around single-player missions, not around a newly described narrative campaign. Go in expecting scenarios to solve rather than a major new story to follow.

That is not necessarily a weakness. For a mission-focused add-on, a clean reason to tackle the next challenge can be enough, and the puzzle theme gives these missions a clearer purpose than simply adding more of the same.

Still, anyone hoping for new characters, plot turns, or a substantial story extension should not make this their first DLC pick. Its attention is plainly on the missions and their puzzles.

Overall Experience

This is a sensible, contained expansion. The 20 missions are the headline, while the achievements and cosmetic pieces make the package feel a little less bare for regular Worms Reloaded players.

Its restraint is both the strength and the drawback. You know exactly what you are getting: a puzzle-minded solo diversion, plus a handful of customization items. That makes it easier to recommend to fans than to newcomers.

If Worms Reloaded is already one of your go-to games and you want more single-player content, Puzzle Pack earns its place. If your interest is mainly social multiplayer or you are looking for a major expansion, the modest scope may leave you wanting more.
