CraziiEmu v0.30-alpha has been launched. CraziiEmu is an experimental PlayStation 5 emulator designed for research, reverse engineering, and the development of emulators. Current compatibility is limited, as many kernel services are incomplete, which may lead to crashes or absent features.

Constructed using Avalonia UI, the frontend offers a console-like experience instead of a conventional windowed debugger:

Core Architecture & Runtime
Direct Execution Backend: Skips software interpretation entirely, running guest x86-64 code directly on the host CPU for optimal hardware performance.
Advanced Executable Loading: Identifies and processes both standard 64-bit ELF binaries and Sony’s compressed SELF (SCE\0) containers, automatically extracting entry points.
Dynamic Linker: Analyzes PT_DYNAMIC program headers, recursively loads dependent .sprx modules, and resolves intricate relocations (R_X86_64_RELATIVE, R_X86_64_GLOB_DAT, R_X86_64_JUMP_SLOT).
Memory & HLE Virtualization
Virtual Memory Manager: Allocates a vast guest virtual address space utilizing page-based allocation.
Native VEH Trampoline: Incorporates native x86-64 assembly page-fault handling to securely manage Windows hardware exceptions.
libkernel HLE Stubs: Contains active implementations for essential PlayStation OS services, including thread management, memory allocation, synchronization primitives, and sleep/timing functions.
Graphics (Vulkan)
Graphics rendering is exclusively based on Vulkan, providing a high-performance rendering pathway. Implementations encompass swapchain creation, direct video output, and splash image presentation. (Internal resolution scaling is in development for future updates).
craziiEmu Changelog:
Added shutdown (TUuiYS2kE8s / libkernel) HLE export with host socket shutdown management.
Implemented over 20 previously missing NIDs.
Introduced a new stop button for forcefully terminating games.
Implemented sceNpCheckNpReachability (KfGZg2y73oM / libSceNpManager) HLE export.
Corrected sceVideoOutGetFlipStatus memory layout offsets (flipArg, processTimeCounter, flipPendingNum, currentBuffer, submitProcessTimeCounter).
Added dual Gen4/Gen5 struct compatibility to sceVideoOutGetFlipStatus.
Resolved issues with sceVideoOutIsFlipPending return value in register Rax to accurately report pending flip count.
Fixed video flip pacing, which caused some games to run at accelerated speeds, locking presentation cadence at 60 FPS (see Among Us boot here: https://x.com/Crazii_pirate07/status/2083903266078036296?s=20).
Known Issue:
Occasionally, closing a game results in log overflow, causing the emulator to crash (Solution: Click stop button immediately after closing the game).

Among Us – Boots up to Innersloth logo.
NAIAD – Boots until game logo animation (FPS drops afterwards).
