GameInformer has recently unveiled the much-anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game titled “Mutants Unleashed”. The announcement follows a collaboration between Nickelodeon, Paramount, game publisher Outright Games, and the development studio A Heartful of Games. This exciting new release is a sequel to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem movie that graced screens in August 2023.

GameInformer shares that “Mutants Unleashed” is a 3D brawler/platformer that continues the narrative post Mutant Mayhem, with the Turtles enjoying social acceptance after their victory over Superfly and his mutant gang. However, their typical high school life is cut short by a fresh mutant invasion in New York City. Boasting an original storyline, this game promises to deliver humor akin to the 2023 film.
This 3D brawler/platformer picks up after the events of Mutant Mayhem; the Turtles have been accepted by society following their heroics against Superfly and his band of mutants. Unfortunately, their dream of attending high school as average, everyday students is suddenly interrupted by a new wave of mutants invading New York City. Featuring an all-original storyline, Mutants Unleashed aims to have the same brand of humor as the 2023 film.

Game enthusiasts will appreciate that “Mutants Unleashed” allows players to embody the four iconic turtles, each with trademark weapons and distinct playstyles. Outright Games emphasizes the immersive experience of the cityscape, both above and below ground, and teases a range of familiar characters for the turtles to encounter and combat.
Two-player local co-op will be present, honoring the cooperative legacy that is synonymous with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video games.
