NooDS Git (2026/08/10) is a new, fast NDS emulator available for Linux, macOS, Windows, and Nintendo Switch. It requires wxWidgets for Linux/macOS or the latest Visual C++ runtime for Windows. High-level BIOS emulation is not yet supported, so users must provide “bios7.bin,” “bios9.bin,” and “firmware.bin” in the same folder as the executable. Nintendo Switch users must also include a “rom.nds” file, as there is currently no file browser. Recent updates address cart regressions and joystick issues. Downloads are available for Windows and Android.
NooDS Git (2026/08/10) has been compiled. This is a (hopefully!) fast NDS emulator. NooDS is compatible with Linux, macOS, Windows, and the Nintendo Switch. Automatic builds are available; to utilize them, you need to install wxWidgets on Linux or macOS, or the latest Visual C++ runtime library on Windows. Currently, NooDS does not support high-level BIOS emulation. To play games, you’ll need BIOS files named “bios7.bin” and “bios9.bin,” as well as a firmware file named “firmware.bin,” all in the same directory as the executable. For the Switch, ensure you have a ROM file named “rom.nds” in the directory, as a file browser is not yet implemented.
